3 Rivers Asbestos Services conducts asbestos inspections of commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. In general, most buildings constructed prior to 1972 include some form of asbestos containing materials. These may be present in insulating materials, linoleum, plaster, mortar and roofing materials. There are three common types of asbestos:
- • Chrysotile (white)
- • Amosite (brown)
- • Crocidolite (blue)
Asbestos can not be identified by product color alone. Professional microscopic analysis is required for material type confirmation.
